Three layers of carpet covering the floorboards, gaps between boards filled with a sticky grey silicon sealant. A nightmare to clean off but after cleaning and sanding have come up fine. A little thin in places (there are traces of old work activity) but OK for now.

More telephone cables than you could possibly imagine as well as cables powering outside appliances poked through the walls and plugged into the internal power sockets.

And now for that staple Korean tradition - the heavy glass-topped desk. Although in this case we'll do without the collection of tatty fast-food order menus under the glass.
